Save the Children is a global non-profit organisation, founded in 1919 and currently operates in over 120 countries. Today, it is India's leading independent child rights NGO. As of December 2017, we work in 19 states of India. Started in 2008 in India, and registered as 'Bal Raksha Bharat', we have changed the lives of more than 10 million (1 crore) children till date. In the year 2017, we reached 22.7 lakh children.

Campaigns and Communication (CC) looks after all aspects of the organisation's Internal and External Engagement through the tools of Media & Communication (Internal and External), Campaigns and Social Media.

This role is a part of the campaigns function that works on creating strategic campaign initiatives that change behaviors, inspire action and increase SC India's brand and profile Save the Children, India as the leading child rights organisation at a national and international level.

Role Purpose:

- Profile Save the Children, India as the leading child rights organisation at a national and international level while leveraging the various aspects of advocacy, programmes and/or fundraising for strategic campaign.

- Support the strategy and delivery of campaigns with a view to build large scale public support and changing public mindset through inspired campaigning.

- Support the strategy and delivery of campaigns with a view to build large scale public support and changing public mindset through inspiring campaigns. Enlist and engage strategic partners and collaborators to amplify brand awareness, engagement, fundraising, engagement and influence.

- Propel our brand awareness and credibility forward through mass mobilisation, online and on ground engagements with shared value partners.

- This role looks at external partnerships and platforms to amplify the campaign action and engagement, it will closely look at internal Fundraising integration for aiding resources for delivering large concept campaigns.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Design and deliver campaigns that engage a wide range of audience (focusing on youth) through online (digital, print and visual media, leverage appropriate opinion leaders) and on ground (events, meetings, rallies, concerts etc.) interventions integrated with the national and hub level to drive engagement, mobislisation and influence for campaign agenda

2. Enlist and engage with influencers, celebrities to support campaigns through strategic and creative engagement plan aligned with online and on ground.

3. Identify and engage with partners (Networks, Organisations, Corporates, Educational Institutions) with collaboration models and concepts for shared value frameworks to secure support and commitment for SC campaigns.

4. Identify and engage with platforms such as arts and culture festivals, educations institutes, digital platforms and educational institutions for harnessing the youth engagement, campaign engagement and aiding fundraising

5. Lead execution of partnerships with innovative concepts, proposals, pitch and support products (films, video, digital and event collateral etc.) to amplify engagement, awareness and aid fundraising

6. Maintain an oversight on the annual budget spends in line with agreed priorities. Support report submissions, year plans and strategy development.

7. Undertake appropriate additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager as per emerging organisation priorities

8. Ensure compliance with SC BR's policies and practices, including the Child Protection Policy

Candidate specification:

Experience 7-10 Years of working with and facilitating large campaigns at the national level Prior experience of working with social campaigns, advertising, event or public relations agencies.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in Communications, Media and Public Relations, Advertising/Events or equal relevance, from a recognised University or College Individuals with relevant experience may also apply

Skills & Knowledge -

1. Strong strategic and excellent verbal and written communication skills

2. Strong national network of contacts across media, social media, celebrities/influencers and civil society sector

3. A keen eye for scouting, on boarding and managing high level and strategic partnerships.

4. Political awareness and ability to handle sensitive issues with diplomacy in many different settings.

5. Track-record of successful project management, including design of planning processes

6. Excellent organisational and logistical skills. Ability to organise own work efficiently, prioritise tasks, and deliver tasks to deadlines.

7. Ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

8. Ability to work effectively within and across teams. Including experience of working in a team that requires virtual collaboration.

9. University degree in a related field, preferably with an international focus

10. A strong understanding and experience of using public campaigning to create change.

11. Strong command of the English language.

12. A high level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

13. Willingness to travel to the Project Offices, as required

14. Positive Attitude and high energy to deliver under pressure

15. High level of professionalism in conduct

16. Ability to work long hours under pressure and respect tight deadlines
