About the Team:


Our Foundation team's core objective is to be strategic advisors to the leadership of large-scale organisations so as to together achieve orbit shifting impact. Our focus is on enabling holistic organisation and ecosystem transformation - by rigorously solving problems, formulating strategic solutions which are logically sound and effective on the ground and ensuring all stakeholders are effectively engaged and their interests are covered.

The opportunity :

The Consultant will play a key role in this project. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager and a small team of 3-4 members to engage with practitioners, donors and other stakeholders, bring in innovative thinking and insights, inspire and guide the team to ensure the achievement of the intended outcomes.

Key responsibilities :

At Sattva we believe in outcome-orientation in everything we do. The key responsibilities for this role include:

Presentations:

- Formulate key areas of inquiry and conceptual frameworks for any qualitative/quantitative research (beginner proficiency)

- Present readings/research findings into insights through visually compelling manner

- Adhere to standards of strategic communication (pyramid principle, objective communication, brevity, simplicity)

Data Analysis:

- Conduct quantitative/qualitative analysis on the data to cull out meaning relevant to client problem

- Design client problem relevant data dashboards and visualisations

- Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganise said data in a format that is simple and concise

- Use statistical tools (as relevant to the project) to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts

Research:

- Conduct basic qualitative and quantitative research skills (intermediate proficiency in market research, solution landscape mapping , policy research etc.,)

- Conduct primary and secondary research processes with high quality

- Present findings to clients in an easy-to-understand way

- Monitor the progress of data collection

- Manage focus groups, carry out interviews and conduct surveys

Project Management:

- Plans day to day responsibilities effectively at an individual level

- Possesses excellent time management and prioritisation skills to work on key activities that are directly linked to impact outcomes

- Proactively monitors and reports any risk in individual/project milestones

- Maintains thorough documentation of key project knowledge assets

Key qualifications and experiences

- At Sattva, our goal is realizing the impact on the ground and to drive a collective win by engaging with multiple stakeholders. We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of alleviating poverty in our lifetime and have the following profile:

- 4-6 years of experience in consulting, project management & complex operations, stakeholder management in corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or global foundations

- MBA or an equivalent postgraduate degree in business management or rural management/development

- Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilities

- Prior experience in a client or customer facing role and diverse stakeholder management

- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

- Prior experience in leading small teams is an added advantage

- Display humility, willingness to listen and excitement to learn

- Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment will be an added advantage

Preferred Qualifications :

- Strong problem solving skills and prior experience of working in consulting firms

- Exceptional powerpoint skills and prior experience of working across strategy projects

- Strong understanding of data and extracting valuable insights from data sets
