Roles & Responsibilities:   - Assist the project manager in development of work plans, timelines, milestones and budgets for Project Planning.  - Assist the project manager in generation of project progress reports (quarterly and annual) and deviation reports for implementation of Projects.  - Ensure the updating of Data Management System and Project Management Systems.  - Preparation of task orders and maintenance of funding records.  - Implementation of programs, workshops and partner meetings.  - Assist the project manager by compiling and providing information for project communication related activities.   - Play a proactive role in data compilation for publication of research results and articles.  - Conduct secondary research (technical & market) as demanded by the project.  - Development of project presentations.  Qualifications, Experience and Skills desired:  The incumbent should be:  - M.Sc with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in International Development project/seed industry in agriculture and allied areas. Knowledge on genetically modified crops will be most preferable.   - Familiarity with project management tools will be added advantage.  - Familiarity with processes for product (crop) development and commercialization  - Superior writing and oral communication skills with a particular ability to translate scientific concepts into language easily understood by the nonscientist.  - Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to attend to detail and work independently.  - Self-starter who can work under pressure, manage multiple projects and details, meet inflexible deadlines on own initiative and find creative solutions to problems.
