Sasken - Finance Controller - CA/CMA

The Controller will oversee the accounting operations of the company, including the development of financial strategies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This executive role requires a highly experienced individual with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and leadership

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Management:

- Oversee all financial activities including accounting & transaction processing

- Manage and mentor all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.

- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

- Responsible for automation and system development to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the team

- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

- Develop financial strategies inline with changing regulatory and accounting standard environment.

Reporting and Analysis:

- Responsible for group reporting , managing consolidation and subsidiary reporting.

- Prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

- Generate and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.

- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting.

- Oversee the preparation of the annual report and manage the external audit process.

Audit and Compliance:

- Coordinate internal and external audits.

- Ensure compliance with local and Global regulations.

- Maintain and update financial records to meet regulatory requirements.

- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with IFC and other if applicable.

- Stay current with accounting standards and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.

Team Leadership:

- Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Develop and implement training programs for team development.

Qualifications:

- CA or CMA preferred.

- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5-7 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in SAP, and advanced MS Excel skills.
