About the Role :

As Lead - Market Investments, the candidate will be leading the Family Office's efforts in its Market Investments vertical, right from identifying and evaluating investment opportunities to monitoring and reviewing them periodically and finally to recommending timely exits from the same. The emoluments associated to the profile, in addition to a fixed component as per the industry standards, will also include a significant kicker in the form of a portfolio performance based variable component. This is akin to a traditional ESOP plan, but applied in the portfolio management space.

Coverage :

- Equity (Mutual Funds, PMS, and Direct Equity)

- Fixed Income (Mutual Funds, Bonds, and High Yield Debt)

- Real Estate (Direct Holdings, and Real Estate Venture Funds)

Lead Capabilities :

- Conversant with all product types and asset classes in this space with deep understanding of equity and fixed income.

- Ability to network and coordinate with external agencies such as Family Office advisors, wealth managers, market experts, and other intermediaries.

- Ability to evaluate and prepare case reports/investment notes for different investment options in the space after consulting with Lead Advisors and other market experts.

Lead Responsibilities :

- To identify investment options by own initiative as well as evaluate options coming from external agencies and prepare detailed investment recommendation notes for decision making.

- To coordinate with all external advisors, distributors, and product manufacturers, establishing a seamless flow of investment ideas and recommendations/advice and maintain a repository of the same, ensuring preparation of periodic MIS reports.

- To continuously monitor investments in the portfolio on a stand-alone basis as well as their impact on the overall portfolio risk-return characteristics. To lead reviews of the portfolio and its individual components from time to time.

- To ensure the timely completion, presentation and analysis of the MIS for the vertical.

- To assist Finance & Accounts Lead in the annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting exercise for the family office by planning source of cash flows required for other parts of the family office as per approved plan.

- To develop and monitor a triggers/key parameters dashboard that will take into account macroeconomic, equity, and fixed income parameters.

About the Candidate :

- MBA/similar with 4-6 years of experience in relevant areas involving money management (wealth management, private banking, mutual funds, insurance/CA firms, etc.).

- Ability to learn on the fly and grasp things quickly so as to be able to adjust to an ever changing environment.

- Passion and fire-in-the-belly to out-perform peers and always stay ahead of the curve by increasing knowledge base and doing more than what is strictly required.

- Ability to have a deep understanding of concepts and yet give more importance to logic and reason as compared to pre-set processes and defined boundaries.
