Job Purpose:

This role is pivotal in shaping and achieving long term business objectives of the company. Entrepreneurial driven strategic thinking and ability to lead and drive all critical business functions is an essential requirement. The role requires deep understanding of business fundamentals with a strong ability for outcome based execution and ability to build brands. Role is responsible for achieving required P&L.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Management:

- Develop long term brand architecture for Livguard with ability to execute in short-term with clear milestones aligned to the Vision

- Create a strong and sustainable challenger brand from both consumer & channels perspective, a worthy contender to the two leading brands

- Responsible for marketing budget and ensuring its optimum utilization

- Develop and execute strategic and tactical programs - promotions, cross partnerships to increase sell-thru

- Lead all marketing agencies and conduct Market/Consumer research studies to align execution with business objectives

- Extremely strong connect with retail environment and ability to leverage for building brand saliency and sell-thru activities

Product Management:

- Deep understanding of market and product requirements

- Ability to develop long term product roadmap

- Competitive analysis for optimum product positioning

- Develop easy to understand sales tools for training and assisting sales recommendations at retail

- Understanding of pricing and its leverage to gain market share

- Innovation around packaging, design to break from the clutter in the competitive market

Services and warranty:

- Conceive long term strategic customer service architecture for positioning Livguard as the most caring and responsive brand in the market

- Formulate and institutionalize policies

- Establish full-fledged customer service infrastructure from ground up - team and partners

- Ensure warranty is managed within budget, without compromising on customer satisfaction

- Building and deploying IT across service infrastructure for real time management & visibility of service metrics

- Ensure all government specified regulatory requirements for battery recycling are met

Sales Planning & Administration:

- Developing & executing IT enabled sales organization, with ability to monitor, track and report productivity of every component of sales system - team and channel

- Create a back office operations that is able to drive and use IT processes to be able to predict business results, highlight gaps so that management has visibility to take actions on time. Develop simple but effective MIS dashboards

- Ensure processes and team are aligned to company's objective of selling a product to end user within agreed time-period from manufacturing date

- Ensure & monitor efficiency and efficacy of sales process with actual on ground execution

- Ability to do demand forecasting and supply accordingly without any sales loss

- Ensure all channel claims related information is submitted to commercial team for timely settlement

Manufacturing Operations:

- Provide leadership in establishing a world class battery manufacturing capability

- Keep control on raw material cost as per the AOP and drive different innovative projects to reduce raw material & manufacturing cost

- Robust production planning and control to ensure zero downtime and material/revenue loss

- Drive ISO and other quality standards and measurements to improve the quality of products and manufacturing system as per global manufacturing standards

- Align all manufacturing process & infrastructure with IT enabled systems

- Ensure compliance of all legal and regulatory requirements relating to manufacturing organization

People Excellence:

- Institutionalising Group's culture and value systems in Livguard

- Leading and inspiring individuals to heighten passion, commitment levels and synergise functional groups to create a winning team, with a conviction of beating the industry leaders

- Grooming and mentoring few set of identified high performers for higher challenges
