SAP Technical Architect & Development Manager - IT

- Technical owner of a given part of the client SAP Solution landscape

- Possesses deep knowledge of the system's technical solution

- Responsible for the definition, management and control of the development build aspects of Change requests

- Provision of clear guidelines and standards in respect of build methodologies and techniques

- Technical impact analysis of Change requests and the approval of delivered technical solutions

- Source Code Review and other quality checks on development output by the Development Factory

- Responsible for management and coordination of SAP Basis activities including application of OSS notes

- Responsible for technical SAP release management processes

- Responsible for maintenance of the SAP landscape overview, logical and physical SAP environment blueprint documentation

- Responsible for SAP service pack / upgrade planning

- Accountable for coordinating the completeness of all required offshore factory services

- Reviews the completeness and quality of all work to ensure the required standards are met

- Work with deployment leads and client IT organization to align on delivery plans including RICEFW prioritisation

- Ensure that programme controls procedures are established and adhered to in delivery centre locations

- Manages delivery against the offshore team plan, issues and risks and reports status

- Assess options to address the risks and issues and improve the factory performance

- Support the issue escalation and resolution

- Responsible for the assessment, management and delivery of all technical objects in-line with Customer agreed build standards and based on approved and Change Requests.

- Assists in estimating the work effort and dependencies of the project plan.

- Drives re-use of pre-existing objects where-ever possible

- Oversees the smooth transition of development activity from the project into the future Application Management organisation (including KT)
