JOB PURPOSE:
Provide medical expertise for further development & improvement of existing products. Plan, collate, analyze & develop initiatives in the areas of New Product Development. Lead Medico-Marketing activities, monitor & ensure all compliance's are adhered to from a medical aspect for Drug Safety & Usage, Enhance the value addition to all Sanofi products & services by helping in patient education programmes & providing scientific information/ literature, within line with Sanofi India guidelines, with the objective of ensuring compliance & maintaining a competitive advantage of all Sanofi products in the Healthcare business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Plan, collate, analyze & develop, initiatives in the RD portfolio
- Develop content and inputs for Medico-marketing activities
- Training the sales and marketing team
- Providing scientific information/literature to HCPs and Sales/Marketing/Training team
- Answering scientific queries of internal & external customers
- Reviewing promotional inputs
- Reviewing HCP interaction activities
- Initiating and reviewing medical publications
- Medical support to Local Pharmacovigilance Contact for causality assessment
- Medical support to Regulatory affairs
- Regional contact for liaison with global teams for the handled product portfolio
- To evaluate & understand the current local Medical practice & clinical decision making with regards to patient care for the RD business and share insights with the Genzyme medical team.
- Engagement of identified KOLs/key scientific leaders /HCPs through medical affairs activities, in alignment with the overall franchise plan and create a strong scientific expert data base to be involved in scientific activities.
- Representing the organization in various internal & external scientific platforms
- Receiving and processing scientific information requests received from physicians and value addition to all Sanofi Genzyme & providing scientific information/ literature on request, in line with Sanofi's India guidelines.
- Provide Medico-Marketing inputs for further development & improvement of existing products.
- Direct, monitor & ensure compliance from a medical aspect for Drug Safety & Usage.
- Affiliate Quality contact for Sanofi Genzyme
- Back up compliance gate keeper /ensuring SOPs are followed
- Primary scientific resource for the sales team of Sanofi Genzyme, responsible for:
- Regular training and flow of latest medical developments in the rare disease segment.
- Collaborations
- Internal / India- Medical, Marketing, Sales, Training, Market access/public affairs
- Group- Nil
- External- Doctors/Experts/KOLs/HCPs in institutions /corporates /Medical Associations
Scope of Role (Team, Geographical, Material) :
- Individual contributor to medical and medico marketing activities
- Provide timely information on emerging clinical/scientific trends to internal & external stakeholders.
- The role will be based at Sanofi Genzyme India and will be pan India territory
- Role will also include field work to meet and provide scientific information to HCPs on RDs portfolio
- Role will include field work ~10-12 days (40-50% of the time) to meet and provide scientific information to HCPs on RD/LSD portfolio and 40-50% of time office admin work/quality/compliance/study time etc.)
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Medical Graduation or Equivalent Scientific Qualification plus relevant experience
Experience & knowledge:
2-3 years of experience in leading medico-marketing activities in the particular therapy area
