Job Description - Business Finance - Director  a) Position Size  - Financial Authority - Independent with reporting to COO  - Non-Financial Authority (Working relationship plus dotted-line reporting to BU Heads / HR head)  b) Operating network  - Internal Network - Ops, HR and BU heads  - External Network - Limited while coordinating with Sales Function  - All key operational departments and support functions  c) Minimum Requirements -   - CA with 7+ years of experience (MBA Finance will be an added advantage)  - Sector understanding: Semiconductor / IT / ITeS understanding will be necessary  - Functional expertise: Business Finance / FP&A prior experience will be important  d) Knowledge & Skills  - In-depth financial analytics knowledge including assessing profitability, designing costing matrix and computing critical operational matrices  - Fundamental understanding of financial statements  - Presentational & Communication Skills  (e) Attitudinal necessities  - Team player  - Immense willingness to learn.   - Ability to take risks from the value creation point of view  - Briskness in action/Values time  - Influencing and convincing capabilities  - Ability to carry the peers/Founder along in all situations  - Non-Cribbing nature  - Loves the challenging and chaotic environment  (f) Key Responsibilities  - Manage close working relationships with Sales and BD team during the process of pitching and help to determine the outcomes/sensitivity while the pricing of the project.  - End to End Resource allocation and utilization review; execution of monthly utilization charts, adept pricing mechanism (for e.g. change in billability with the change in experience) and revenue management  - Development of costing methodology for various projects and tracking of costs during the course of project execution.  - Analyze Gross margin accountability for various BU-heads and ensure gross margin flow-down to BUH-1   - Timely communication especially raising red flags with the BU-heads, HR head, Sales Team when desired matrices such as gross margins, utilization, pricing (respectively), are showing undesired trends  - Increase overall gross margin and EBITDA of the company thru effective FTE analysis  (g) Expected value-add  - Developing a profitability bubble map through analytical methods that will guide sales team while pitching to achieve pricing efficiency in all projects and guide finance team while ensuring adept billing.  - Creating an allocation universe and cost bubble map through numerical trackability methods that will guide HR team while hiring and optimize allocation and utilization.  - Creating a utilization universe and cost-to-benefit bubble map through analysis that will guide BU team while deploying resources thereby improving gross margins.  Ideally less than 35 years of Age (but higher age is fine if the candidate is exceptional)  Salary CTC - max of Rs. 25 lacs (+/- 10% if the candidate is good)   Designation - Director - Business Finance  Qualifications:   - CA with 7+ years of experience (MBA Finance will be an added advantage)  - 7+ years of relevant experience in IT services Industry.  Job Location :  - Bangalore/ Hubli
