Manager Sales Analytics
Sell-out forecasting and development of AI Forecasting System.
1) Annual Demand and Inventory Planning :
- Develop baseline primary demand and secondary demand forecasts using statistical techniques, trend analytics and derive inventory targets/norms as a part of annual demand/inventory plan
2) Primary Demand Planning and Review :
- Drive inventory obsolescence and inventory aging reviews with category managers and initiate liquidation plans to reduce aging.
- Initiate early warning system to highlight concerns in projected inventory levels basis estimated primary, secondary demand plans and channel inventory
3) Secondary Demand Planning and Review :
- Develop long term, medium term and short term forecast at Location SKU level using heuristic techniques with level, trend and seasonality concepts
- Collaborate with sales team and category managers for inputs related to market movement/product strategy/competitor strategy and develop comprehensive demand plan incorporating external inputs
- Analyse Channel PSI and initiate corrective actions in primary/secondary plan post discussion with various stakeholders
- Develop consensus with Supply Plan and modify demand plan basis availability status
- Create a bottom up forecast collection system for input of Branch Sales/Branch Supply Chain and drive consesus between bottom up and top down forecast
- Develop proper demand transition plan for changeover period according to EOL and RTS timelines
4) Automation and Process Improvement :
- Develop algorithm/logic for automation of forecasting process and deriving scientific demand plans
- Collaborate with business intelligence/development teams and develop newer ways/systems of sensing the market and demand planning
- Implement data driven tools/systems of forecasting for improving predictability of business
