Samssara - Strategy Developer - HFT

We are a quant and algo trading firm incorporated in 2010 by a team of IITB alumnus, with the focus on completely automated and quantitative trading strategies. We believe in technology and mathematics and are looking for people who share the same line of thought.

This opportunity is in the field of High Frequency Trading (HFT) for people who have very strong mathematical, analytical and software skills, who have some experience in this space or have had some experience in developing quantitative strategies and can code well in at least one of the major programming languages.

- Analyzing large sets of data related to market order books, bid offer spreads, volume curve etc and come out with factors and parameters

- Coding & development of quant trading strategies in the high frequency to ultra high frequency trading space

- Implementation of trading ideas on appropriate software platforms. One must have a very strong software skills in languages like C, C++, Java, Matlab and R

- Can work with the market data team and exchange connectivity team to reduce the latency of the strategies and deploy low latency frameworks

- Working in a team of 3-5 people who are experienced in the financial markets and have managed large assets in high frequency trading space in the past

- Taking dynamic responsibility both in terms of design, development and execution of the trading strategy and at the same time working in the team and taking other responsibilities like development of market connection module, reading new research papers in the high frequency trading space etc.

- Know-how of statistics concepts like standard deviation, correlation, regression etc. to find deep rooted repetitive patterns will be helpful which emerge in the market for a very short period of time

- Know how of financial markets will further be a value add to the candidates, but is not expected to be a pre-requisite
