Job Title: Unit Head for Unit 2

Job Responsibilities:

- Skilled at Planning & Execution, Debottlenecking, ensuring smooth plant operations, timely completion of production targets of Bulk Herbal Extracts within pre-designated time & cost parameters.

- Experience in Handling Herbal product Extractions, Solvent distillations, Quality Management Systems & Usage variance control.

- Administrating plant operations with efforts driving towards achievements of WHO-GMP Certifications, Regulatory & Statutory.

- Implementing small time automation controls to Ensure continuous Productivity with improvements in Quality & Safety Systems.

- Meeting the complete Capacity of Multi Product blocks with detailed planning annually, Quarterly & monthly on time & in full.

- Utilize Maximum Capacity of process equipments at the site for Cost Competitiveness.

- Complying all Regulatory & Statutory requirements & ensuring safe working environment all the time at the unit.

- Leading process improvement initiatives and implementing quality systems for enhancing production efficiency

- Develop and manage master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality, and timelines.

- Drive improvements in reliability for key aspects of machinery by completing reliability studies and identifying best planned maintenance strategy.

- Manage the accurate and on-time introduction of new products.

- Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution.

- Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.

- Establish strategy and best practices for staff to ensure achievement of overall business objectives.

- Work with the Manufacturing team to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives including KPIs, and to track them.

- Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.

- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.

- Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.

- Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate.

- Prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects.

- Proactively work with product line management, engineering, service, and other departments to incorporate best practices into the manufacturing environment.

- Implementation of management decisions at the units & ensure timely and effective reporting to the corporate management.

- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities.

- Maintaining & Promoting Social, Ethical & Organizational Norms while conducting Business.

Education and Experience:

- BE /B.Tech Chemical or relevant degree.

- Total work experience of minimum 20 years and at least last 5 years as unit head.

- Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and systems.

- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.

- Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components, and manufacturing techniques

- Experienced in handling the Statutory & Regulatory agencies and the compliances of the same.
