Opening with a leading FMCG Company for the position of a Sales Training Manager
Location - Mumbai
Salary - 10 lacs to 15 lacs
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of Training Needs
- Interact with key personnel in the S&D and marketing teams to understand the future business priorities
- Work with frontline sales team and interact with BHs on a periodic basis to understand current capability gaps
Basis above, prepare the training needs by level and state in agreement with NSDM
- Design and Delivery of S&D Training
- Lead / work with regional teams and external agencies (where required) to develop the training modules to be executed
- Formulate the training execution norms for effective training execution as per plan
- Prepare the training calendar and budget by level and state in accordance with the identified training needs
- Conduct “train the trainer” sessions for BHs and NGMs for effective training presentation delivery
- Recruit regional sales training managers (as required) and select external training vendors (as required) to drive the training agenda
- Effectiveness of S&D Training
- Design and implement a process to track the delivery of training and its quality as per the planned calendar
- Design and implement a process to track the effectiveness of the training programs (e.g. trainer feedback, behavioral changes in the sales team)
- Conduct monthly review meetings with BH/branch HR personnel (over concall) to drive training agenda and make course corrections, where required
Job Requirements
- Must Haves
- Strong communication and teaming skills
- Ability to lead teams, with a can - do attitude
- Understanding of existing PAPL S&D infrastructure, systems and process
- 8 years of FMCG sales training experience, hands - on sales exposure preferred
Good To Haves
- Masters/ Bachelors degree in sales & marketing (Advantage in case of previous sales Training exp.)
- Experience in sales capability development
Career Progressions
- STrM is a critical role and will be instrumental in driving people capability development for the organization
- The STrM appointment will be at M5 level
- A consistent performer would move to a senior sales position post this role
