Incumbent Candidate is expected to work as part of a global team to lead execution of Sales and Marketing work stream within sourcing and procurement and cost reduction engagements. These engagements may involve conducting spend analyses / market intelligence/identifying cost reduction/process improvement opportunities/zero based budgeting/supplier relationship management /risk strategy.
As a Sales & Marketing category specialist, the consultant is required to :
- Collaborate with client to implement cost reduction opportunities in Sales and Marketing categories, Advertising, Media Buying, Brand promotions, Market Research, Sales Promoters, Packaging, Merchandisers, Point-of-Sales materials.
- Conduct As Is vs To be analysis on client's Sales and Marketing organization, compare to best in class industry Practices, competitors and peers to design an optimal and high performing sales and marketing organization.
- Understand network of all complete Sales and marketing value chain third party sales force, distributors, vendors, agencies, suppliers, media buying platforms, printers and content developers to identify potential consumption (quantity) or price (procurement) opportunities for cost reduction and performance optimization.
- Responsible for identifying via data and process analysis - opportunities for cost reduction and communicating them to client stakeholders.
Industry preferred :
- CG&S, Retail and FMCG industry experience would be preferred
Work experience :
- In depth understanding of Sales and Marketing and Sourcing and Procurement fundamentals coupled with 4-6 years of consulting / industry experience across Cost reduction, Sales & Marketing category management, sourcing direct commodities, supplier development, supplier risk management, procurement operating model design / implementation and procure to pay process transformation
- Experience in a consulting firm and global exposure is desirable
- Excellent data analytics / data interpretation and presentation skills are essential.
- Familiarity with sourcing and procurement related modules of ERP systems (SAP, Ariba) or business intelligence tools such as Emptoris, Zycus, Sievo would be an added advantage.
Eligibility : Should be MBA from tier 1 College. IIM/XLRI/ISB/FMS/MDI/SP Jain/IIFT
Travel : Contains High Global Travel
