Essential Qualifications:

1. Candidates should be looking forward to a long term engagement with the organization. Such candidates who wish to join as Sales Managers and aim to Head the sales function as the organization grows are desired. This is position is for professionals who truly love being in sales function and intend to build a long term career prospect in this function.

2. Passion to work in a highly energetic startup and having a hungry, entrepreneurial mindset.

3. 4-6 years of experience in sales of tractors, agricultural equipment, pumps, gensets, micro irrigation and other irrigation equipments, other engineering or innovative products with must have and in depth exposure to rural markets.

4. Should have experience in direct sales of above products to opinion makers or have experience in effecting the product/services sales by influencing the opinion makers in their respective rural territories

5. Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or agricultural engineering with MBA preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement effective sales planning and monitoring systems to measure sales force effectiveness

- Develop and execute territory plans to maximize revenue

- Create and standardize monthly/quarterly sales and territory forecasts and performance reports

- Define set of metrics to track, analyze and evaluate sales performance of our Area sales executives and Sales Officers

- Assign sales targets for sales force.

- Hire, train and mentor the sales team and drive them to achieve their targets

- Continuously improve sales team performance through defining and refining best practices. Build sales training programs for area managers and ground sales force incorporating cumulative learning from cross functional collaborations

- Be available to travel frequently to territories to support sales officer’s and area manager’s performance

- Coordinate with marketing department to ensure the sales team has required materials and information to promote the company’s products and services
