Our client is a world-class premium cookware brand. Established in 1925, the inception of the business can be traced back to France. The company has a range of high-quality cast iron cookware, multi-ply stainless steel, toughened non-stick, and stoneware, along with its outstanding range of wine accessories. In its 100 years of existence, the brand is being used by leading chefs and keen cooks around the globe. The company's products are now sold in more than 60 countries around the world including the US, UK, Japan and Australia.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible to manage sales through wholesale channel and ecommerce channel . You will also be responsible to manage 7 company owned retail stores pan India.

What you will do:

Wholesale Sales

- Achievement of annual budgeted sales targets and individual objectives as outlined by the line manager

- Delivery of budgeted gross margin targets by category

- Management of existing business to include the expansion of product distribution, and the development of new business opportunities within the defined account portfolio as per company brand guidelines and set targets

- Training wholesale partners and staff about the company's brand and products

- Ensuring consistency in product display, VM and overall brand experience at all points of sale in line with the brand guidelines

- Identifying and developing premium internet retailers, large format stores and any other relevant new business channels

Retail Sales

- Delivering the retail proposition in line with the company strategy

- Managing retail operations for stores in the region including sales targets, retail KPIs, P&L, VM, staffing and overall brand experience in line with company objectives

- Recruiting, training, managing, developing and motivating retail staff so as to achieve targets and deliver exemplary customer service

- Developing and implementing store systems, processes & procedures

- Tracking & driving retail sales MIS and KPIs

- Ensuring effective management and distribution of stocks to maximize sales and optimize inventory level

- Identifying new store locations in line with company objectives and ensuring successful implementation to new store openings

- Ensuring all stores comply with legal and company operational, health and safety procedures

Marketing Strategy

- Developing and implementing plans to support all product ranges and new product development initiatives in the account portfolio

- Effectively managing promotional programme for each customer and the promotional support budget assigned to the account portfolio to ensure maximum sales return on investment

- Defining appropriate ranging recommendations for each customer

- Execution of all campaigns / POS displays in the region in coordination and with the help of the Marketing team

- Initiating BTL activities and tie ups to support all points of sale

- Working closely with the marketing team to successfully achieve KPIs and drive sales

Account Management Responsibilities

- Annual account plans and forecast to be developed and completed

- Account terms templates & range details must be maintained on a quarterly basis

- Account Contact Reports must be completed within 48 hours of a customer visit and circulated internally to Commercial Manager, and additional Pvt staff as relevant

- Ensuring collections of monies due as per credit terms and balance confirmations on periodic basis

- Generating regular reorders and coordinating timely stock delivery with the supply chain team

- Quarterly Account Reviews to be completed for major customer accounts

- Monthly forecast by product group must be submitted to an accuracy of 10% either way of actual sales achieved

- Using the standard company P&L format for assessing cost of trading with all the customers, and developing plans to drive account profitability and monitor this on a monthly basis

- Communicating all stock / order requirements as per customer requirements / commitment to the Administration and Logistics personnel in the company

- Ensuring all customers are fully supporting the company's brand strategy

- Engineering the appropriate meetings to facilitate appointments between the company's personnel from other departments and their counterparts in customer accounts

- Reporting to sales meetings/ briefings on many aspects of the job e.g sales, product quality, competitor activity, account profitability- as directed

Candidate Profile:

- Post Graduate / MBA with previous experience in a similar role which will include working in a structured manner, developing strategy and executing business growth plans

- Experience of wholesale and retail store management

- Previous experience working for a premium global/Western retail business

- Good financial understanding

- Ability to interpret consumer data

- Experience of managing operational marketing activity

- Proven people manager with examples of developing people

- Location: New Delhi
