Position – Sales Manager Alternate Channel for North Region  Reports to – Branch Sales Manager – Alternate Channel  Position summary:  This position is responsible for Sales and Distribution of PVMI products (confectionery + snacks) in all avenues which are not under the gamut of Traditional Trade / Star + Plus outlets in the entire North India (J&K, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Utttarakhand, Rajasthan and NCR). These may be organized retail (Modern Trade Outlets / Cash and Carry), Railways, Defence (CSD/ CPC), Coffee Chains (Costa, Barista,CCD).  Position is accountable for North India for the following  - Provide region specific inputs in designing the distribution strategy for Alternate Channels  - Execution of Sales and Distribution functions for alternate channels.  - Documentation of TOTs with Regional Chains/ LSOs  - Ensuring proper implementation of visibility solutions  - Handling and resolving customers’ complaints in a timely and effective manner.  Key Responsibilities:  1. Sales Planning and Strategy  - Define and recommend the challenges, market landscape, growth expectations, and competitive landscape for modern trade channel  - Define customer segments, expectations, selling challenges within modern trade.  - Developing new channels  2. Distribution strategy  - Ensure strategic placement of PVMI products within modern trade channel  - Recommend modern trade related schemes and promotions to the immediate supervisor.  - Ensure proper fill rates through sales forecasting and advanced planning  - Participate in regional tenders for Railways  3. Sales systems/ processes  - Adhere to sales documentation and MIS reporting as per schedule  - Ensure timely payment of incentives to trade.  - Ensure adherence to sales hygiene parameters  4. Sales systems delivery  - Ensure the deployment of proper logistics and distribution network to meet channel demands  - Ensure timely collection of payments and raising of Purchase Orders  - Ensure adequate supervision of merchandisers  5. Market Competition analysis  - Obtain and analyze market / competitive data  - Envisage and recommend new modern trade partners - their growth and market entry  6. Trade Marketing  - Actively partner with the TM team in designing the trade incentive schemes for the Field force and the channel partner  - Work in Tandem with KAMs and regional store managers to ensure best possible MBQs for the company products  7. Visibility Planning  - Act as KAM for Regional chains, negotiate TOTs, visibility tools placement etc. With local store managers and regional heads  - Work with KAMs and merchandisers to ensure proper plannogramming in stores for their regions  - To identify new visibility measures  8. Manpower Planning and Management  - Recommend a manpower plan for the branches  - Ensure that the teams are manned as per requirement  - Participate in hiring/selection/appraisal/T&D related HR processes  9. Training and Development  - Provide TNA inputs for identification of development areas for all HR positions  - Nominate team members to training program  - Provide training inputs for merchandisers  Candidate Profile:  - A full time Post-Graduate with Specialization in Sales/Marketing from Tier I/II B School batch of 2006-2009  - 4-6 years’ experience in FMCG sales with min 2 years’ experience in handling Modern Trade / Cash and Carry in a regional role.  - Excellent communication and inter-personal skills; Good Negotiation Skills  - Open to travelling extensively  Contact - accomplished.jagjeet@gmail.com
