Our client is the largest beauty services market place in India. It is the fastest way of finding and booking appointments with the best of salons, spas, doctors and diagnostic centers. It has the largest and highly sticky network of salons and spas.

It was founded by IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur alumni in 2010 and is based in Mumbai. Last year alone, the startup has had over 600,000 transactions, and with this new investment looking for further development. The firm is present in 5 cities with 6000 salons and spas and has launched its smartphone app, which enables users book appointments on the go.It has attained a category leadership position in a very short period and is the sole Marketplace in the Beauty Services category. After their Series B funding round, its looking at the next level of growth.

They are looking for a Head of Sales who can lead a team of wolves, someone who has handled large volumes of sales, built and managed big teams in the current/ previous role. A travel enthusiast who is energetic and who can effectively build and manage a team.

Your responsibilities include the following :

Strategic Planning :

- Prepare Entire sales strategy which involves designing, identifying opportunities and deciding the Go-To Market strategy.

- Focus on target planning which involves understanding the market, preparing the region wise targets and incentives and how we plan to achieve it.

- Devising a matrix for measuring the overall performance of the sales team.

Business Development :

- To build and grow the existing network by acquiring and engaging the right set of salons(prioritizing) and help users and merchants to drive maximum value from it.

- To Execute and drive various projects including business engagement drives with salons and other similar drives.

- Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.

- While acquisitions are important, most of the business will eventually come from repeat business and therefore, strong retention/ upsell skills are a must. Solution-selling approach and ability to develop long-term relationships.

Team Building :

- Hiring the right professionals, design and drive training programs (EXPAND).

- Mentor the team to handle end-to-end client relationships; including pitching, negotiation and troubleshooting.

- To keep track of the performance of the team and keep the team motivated to constantly deliver excellent performance.

People Management :

- Get the strategy implemented, and reinforce the attitudes and behaviors that contribute to flawless execution. Hire and continuously train the team along with performance tracking

Budgeting :

- Documenting how the overall plan will be executed month to month, specifying expenditures.

Forecasting :

- Use accumulated historical data to predict financial outcomes for future months and years

Communication with key stake holders :

- Work closely with Marketing, Product and Management team to be aligned with business activities and growth

The role will demand the person to be open for travelling in order to tap new business opportunities in new cities, at times of expansion. Also periodically meet with the sales team to guide and mentor the performances and keep the team motivated by 1 on 1 meetings.

Candidate Profile :

Performance Management : Understanding the pulse of the team and managing non-performing sales reps

Leadership Skill : Must be able to create and share a vision with their sales team.

- Someone with MBA/ Management degree from a reputed college will be preferred

- Must have experience of working for organisations with strong Sales processes
