Academic Qualification:
1. Graduate Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications/Telecom/Computers Sc & Engg. OR a relevant related qualification
2. Post Graduate Engineering Degree Holders may also apply,
3. An MBA qualification though not mandatory would be an added advantage.
Mandatory Skills Required:
(a) Goal oriented, hands-on experience in Sales life-cycle (prospecting, lead qualification, requirement understanding, proposal presentation and Sales closure.).
(b) Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must
(c) Experience is selling in the US geography in the Telecom OEM and Media space
(d) Exposure to markets in US-market
(e) Must possess an affable personality with a proven record in interworking with other functions (esp. Between Engineering & Sales).
(f) Clear understanding of concepts in communications engineering, modern telecom networking and applications and the ability to do solution selling to customers
(g) Ability to meet and communicate with product managers or VP engineering titles in customers
(h) Must be able to guide a team
Key Work Accountabilities
- Planning and executing sales plan for the region
- Selling to accounts in the Telecom OEM, Media, Carrier and ISV space,
- Territory development in US regions primarily,
- Ensuring sales growth through [i] addition of new accounts and [ii] Revenue enhancement in existing accounts
- Past experience in selling to Telecom or Media space is required
- Should have strong “hunter” skills to get new accounts
- Exposure to sales of software intensive services related to any of the following would be a big plus: Wireless Cellular, Media, Satellite, Datacom (IP, MPLS, Automotive), Converged Mobile Applications and Embedded Engineering (FPGA/ DSP/ ASIC), Smart phones and handheld devices such as Tablets
