Our client a global consulting firm is carrying out a business transformation project for a leading Paints player. This project encompasses the formulation of strategies to attain the organizational objectives, enhancement of the product portfolio, transforming channels, optimisation of the supply chain, and creating a compelling value proposition.
To support this endeavor, they seek to bring on board a seasoned professional, preferably someone with previous experience in sales within the paints industry, having held positions such as Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or higher or someone with prior experience in the strategy division of a paints company. The client is also open to looking at strategy/management consultants having a minimum of 4 years of experience carrying our projects in the Paints space.
Roles and responsibilities :
- Formulate and execute comprehensive business strategies to achieve organizational objectives in the paints industry.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor assessments, and customer segmentation to inform strategic decision-making.
- Assess the current product portfolio and identify opportunities for expansion, innovation, and improvement.
- Evaluate and optimize distribution channels to enhance market reach and improve customer accessibility.
- Develop a compelling value proposition that differentiates the client's offerings in the paints industry.
- Leverage previous experience in sales, especially in the paints industry, to provide insights and recommendations for improving sales effectiveness.
Experience Required :
- 5+ years of experience in the Paints industry is required, either as a sales professional with roles like Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or higher, or with prior experience in the strategy division of a paints company. Alternatively, the client is open to considering strategy/management consultants with a minimum of 4 years of experience in executing projects within the paint industry.
- An undergraduate degree from a Tier 1 Institute or an MBA graduate from a Tier 1 Institute.
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills, as the role will involve daily interactions with business unit heads.
This is a contract-based opportunity with an initial 12-month agreement. This project is based out of Gurgaon, and the chosen consultant will also need to undertake travel to different client markets across India.
