Position Summary:

The Retail Domain Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end technology solutions that meet the unique challenges of the retail industry. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, defining technical strategies, and ensuring that technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

Retail IT Systems Expertise:

- Demonstrate a deep understanding of various Retail IT systems, including point-of-sale (POS), inventory management, merchandising, and customer relationship management (CRM), WMS, Planogram Pricing and Promotion management systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in Retail IT systems and recommend innovative solutions.

Retail System Implementation:

- Exposure in Retail ERP implementation projects, ensuring successful integration with the existing systems.

- Customizing ERP modules to align with the retail-specific requirements and business processes.

Solution Design and Architecture:

- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand retail business requirements and challenges.

- Design end-to-end technology solutions that encompass applications, systems, data, and infrastructure.

- Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, reliability, security, and optimal performance.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

- Assess and recommend technology solutions that align with retail industry standards and best practices.

- Evaluate and select appropriate platforms, frameworks, and tools to meet business needs.

- Stay current on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the retail domain.

Collaboration with IT Teams:

- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions.

- Provide guidance and support during the development and implementation phases of projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Strategic Planning:

- Contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy, with a focus on retail technology.

- Collaborate with business leaders to align technology solutions with long-term business goals.

- Provide insights on industry trends and technology advancements that could impact the retail domain.

Documentation and Communication:

- Document architectural decisions, guidelines, and best practices.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Provide regular updates and presentations to business and IT leadership.

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in the retail domain.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and their application in the retail industry.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
