Job Description - As a senior java developer you will have the designation of a vice president and report into a senior vice president. You will have a team of 5 to 10 people reporting into you. Your main responsibilities will include Managing the technical design, architecture and development across all phases of the SDLC

- Deploying new applications and maintaining and enhancing existing applications.

- Assist in defining the user and technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide leadership and direction to the team as well as individually contribute to the expansion of the platform.

- Communicate with a global team of analysts, project managers and architects.

The Successful Candidate - A successful applicant will have at least 10 years of experience in software development in the financial services industry. Domain knowledge of equities and swaps is mandatory. Strong knowledge of Java,JBOSS,Hibernate,Spring,J2EE,JMS and XML are required. Knowledge of object oriented design and programming as well as Oracle and SQL are strongly preferred.You will also posses strong communication skills and the ability to deliver within strict deadlines.
