Who are we ?

Rupeek is a rapidly growing, online asset-backed lending platform operating in Bangalore. We aim to disrupt the traditional brick-and-mortar lending model by making credit cheaper for borrowers and lending more valuable for lenders with our low operational costs and credit evaluation tools. We currently operate in the Gold Loan vertical and aim to build a tech-driven new-age financial services powerhouse. About the role : Director - Public Relation & Corporate Communication


To lead the PR, PA & Corp Communication functions to establish Rupeek as the primary choice for the following stakeholders (in no particular order): Regulators, Bankers, Investors, Potential Employees, Existing Employees and Rupeek End Consumers Consumers

Public Relations :

- Develop an exhaustive Public Relations strategy working with the head of marketing to drive awareness and positioning across key stakeholders (Regulators, Partners, Talent, Investors)

- Handle all announcements and in-bound PR requests for the company

- Manage day-to-day relationships with key publishers and partners ensuring they deliver seamless media intelligence, media monitoring reports and announcement execution

- Be clued into strategic industry events and facilitate key speaker opportunities for the leadership and manage those speaking engagements

Marketing Collaboration :

- Supplement brand marketing campaigns run by Marketing Team through PR mediums

- Assist the Marketing team in creating PR strategies that enable user acquisition and retention

- Overseeing the Organizational Reputation Management (ORM) program

Crisis Management :

- Creation and execution of communication if the company ever faces a PR crisis

- Anticipation of possible PR crisis and taking proactive steps to avert it

- Regularly interact with leaders within the organisation to ideate compelling themes and narratives in-line with the strategy

- Drive the finalized themes and narratives through all available mediums including but not limited to print, social media and/or digital publications


- Developing and implementing communication narratives into large scale PR campaigns

- Crisis Management Experience

- Hands on with writing key communication pieces

- Relationship Management at all levels (Journalists to CXOs)

- Creativity to turn challenges into opportunities (PR campaign conceptualization)


- 10-13 years fo PR experience with at least 8 years at top PR agencies (GBM, Adfactors PR, Edelman, Weber Shandwick, MSL, Ogilvy PR, Perfect Relations etc)

- 2 years at a startup/fast growing corporate

- Specialist education in PR/Comms at a masters level
