The RSM Finance and Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) practice is actively hiring a BlackLine Administrator and Optimization Lead. This position will be responsible for the support and administration of the deployment, adoption, optimization and ongoing operation of the BlackLine solution, including journal entries, account reconciliations, matching, variance analysis, compliance and financial close tasks modules. This role will be responsible for consulting and collaborating with our team of high-performing consultants responsible for onboarding new clients and providing ongoing client accounting services (CAS). This role will provide exposure to a variety of clients and client industries to continue your career development. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in both accounting and cloud-based technology solutions along with an understanding of how to leverage technology for process improvement. This position will support our entire FAO group across the country, and candidates can select to be based out of various RSM offices or remote.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead optimization and administration of Blackline solution
- Maintenance, granting access, data verification and workflow management
- Establishment and monitoring data integrations from other solutions and data providers used within FAO.
- Provide systems support, governance, and create best practices for effective usage.
- Development and deployment of implementation framework for effective roll out of advanced BlackLine modules including Journals, Matching, and Variance modules across FAO clients.
- Enhance existing analytical tools and identify and develop framework for reporting KPIs to BlackLine users for insight in the utilization of BlackLine within FAO.
- Generation and publication of monthly BlackLine metrics
- Analysis of metrics to identify trends in chronic issues, provide end user training to address.
- Develop collaborative relationships with partnering teams and stakeholders to identify system improvement opportunities.
- Optimize use of BlackLine system through the following activities:
Business process evaluation
Procedure development
System process flow and requirements
QA planning and testing
Implementation planning
Creation and oversight of documentation related to standard operating procedures
User training development and deployment
Production support for problems and enhancements resulting from quarterly product releases.
Ensures adequate communication and proper integration across entirety of FAO practice and our technology partners.
Develops and motivates assigned staff.
- Provide technical support to end-users to resolve issues with BlackLine use, including escalation through proper channels within RSM and with BlackLine support.
- Perform other duties/projects as required
- Provides project planning and timeline management for the project.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 12+ years Accounting or Finance Experience
- Background in financial close process optimization/continuous improvement
- 10+ years BlackLine Experience, User & Admin (Local, Business or System)
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Sage Intacct
- Strong troubleshooting, configuration, navigation skills across BlackLine modules
