Position Description :
- The individual will be expected to work independently once the objective has been defined and agreed.
- Prior background on financial modeling and analysis would provide an edge when it comes to understanding the domain.
- The candidate will review large data, understand opportunities for process improvement and also generate meaningful insights to the finance function.
- This role is expected to be consultative and exploratory in nature and will require the individual to engage and identify opportunities for analytical intervention.
- Accuracy in analyzing the data / risks will be a central point of this role
- The position will entail reviewing the inputs / data feeds available in the source systems and understand opportunities for automation and also analytical insights.
- The individual will also be expected to validate and address inconsistencies that may arise in the interim and the final output being generated from various systems.
- Data management and model creation will be a primary responsibility in this role.
- While team management scope will be relatively limited in the initial phase, the scope of expanding leadership experience will depend on the individual's ability to successfully engage with the client and also work across the other service offerings for the client through the offshore platform.
Technical Qualifications / Experience :
- High level of competency and experience working with Excel, SQL and SAS.
- Knowledge of VBA and SQL would be advantageous.
- Prior experience working with large datasets would be mandatory.
Experience:
7 to 10 years in the finance, banking, insurance industry. Alternatively, advanced analytics experience in domains such as healthcare and retail would also be considered. Working knowledge of tools such as SAS, R, Python, Qliksense. Knowledge pertaining to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence would be of added advantage.
