Category Manager - Personal Care -Guiltfree Industries Ltd (GIL): We are looking for a Category Manager to lead a group/category of products for our PC brand. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall P&L and product journey. The position will report to the CMO, GIL. The role will be based out of Head Office, Kolkata. Job Description: - Plan and implement long-term development strategies for Personal Care categories and research new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve revenue targets. - Lead a team that provides category insights and proposals by analyzing marketing and consumer data and monitoring relevant market conditions. - Lead agency teams to build strong brand equity led by disruptive campaigns and consistent communication across mediums and platforms over time. - Guide the team to leverage digital engagement mediums to engage with our target consumers and build a strong consumer funnel. - Build D2C as a strong business leg for the category. - Responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal. Relationships with vendors and product range management will also be part of the duties - Recommend innovative marketing initiatives to ensure brand growth in sales and market share. Includes development of local initiatives such as events, incentives, merchandising elements, mailers, etc. - Provide Category expertise and recommendations for assigned categories. - Proactively collaborate with cross-functional team members on key business opportunities and provide actionable recommendations. - Work closely with the sales team and senior stakeholders to determine optimal pricing by analyzing sales trends, competitors, and buying habits to promote sales opportunities. - Assume responsibility for advertising and promotion budget development and revenue for the category - Build a strong category marketing team focusing on talent and capability development for the future.
