We're looking for a content marketer/editor with excellent editing &amp; communication skills to help support and grow our podcast Mobile User Acquisition Show, in which we profile and talk about how the leading mobile apps in the world grow and take off. The podcast has grown massively in the last few months - and we're looking for someone to help support and drive its ongoing growth. We are ideally looking for someone to start on a freelance/hourly basis - that can grow into someone full time. WHO YOU ARE : - You have at least some editing experience - in audio or writing. If you don't have audio experience and are looking to learn/acquire this, please feel free to apply - this could be a great opportunity. - You're comfortable wearing many hats. You're good at what you do, but you'll do what it takes to succeed - even if it involves learning about strategies you haven't tried or learnt before. - You're comfortable communicating with &amp; working with designers - and ensuring timely and high-quality design work. - You're coachable. You- ll report directly to the CEO - and you'll get to interact with our podcast guests, many of whom are the CEOs of leading companies in the world who work on many of the coolest apps in the world today. You'll show an ability to learn &amp; be open to feedback. - You're organized. You are comfortable working with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Basecamp etc. You make sure everything is in its place. - You have strong written communication skills - and you're comfortable working remotely. We're a fully distributed team - and your success in this role depends on your ability to communicate clearly through writing and on getting things done via email, Slack and project management tools such as Asana, Basecamp etc. - You're comfortable using &amp; learning new tools to communicate, collaborate &amp; create. There's no overhead or politics - you have the freedom to work in ways that let you drive the most impact. - Because we're mostly asynchronous, we're also lifestyle-first. We try not to have too many constraints on when and how you do what you do or when you're at your desk. We want you to do your work when you are the most productive. - We will push you to understand business holistically. You will get access to one of the best networks of founders and marketers in the world - and opportunities to upskill yourself, and take on cross-functional projects. YOUR DAY TO DAY : Our podcast Mobile User Acquisition Show goes out twice a week - you will own the production and launch of the podcast. Your work will include : - Setting up interviews with guests. - Editing audios of interviews(perfectly ok if you haven't done this in the past - we'll train you). - Editing transcripts of interviews and making them ready to publish. - Preparing notes, highlights and quotes from interviews(and adding emojis as needed:)). - Posting episodes to promote them on social channels. - Tracking metrics and numbers from episodes to measure success. - Research and recommend future guests. - Identify other opportunities for growing the podcast. While the podcast is the key lever for our growth, we will also have you work on and drive other marketing initiatives - like our ebooks, webinars and other projects. Since we are fully remote, we'll communicate and coordinate online via Slack and Zoom. (We have no specific working hours - you work when you want as long as you get things done). WHAT ARE SOME NOT-SO-GREAT-THINGS ABOUT WORKING WITH US ? - We're a service business - and are very intentional about ensuring that the pace of our growth does not hamper the quality of our work. It's unlikely that we'll be growing at the kind of pace that many venture backed businesses do. - We're not going to be the next Uber or Facebook. - The folks that do well on our team are those that care far more deeply about immersing themselves into the craft of marketing than being a part of a hypergrowth company. - We're fully remote - and we work mostly asynchronously. We prioritize heads-down, focused time for our team members - and we try to keep meetings to a minimum; which can be very different from the culture of constant in-office and out-of-office interaction that is common in many non-remote companies. - We're fully distributed. Because of the regulatory complexities that this entails, your official position will be that of an independent contractor. - We have a writing-heavy culture. We write internal memos, client reports, competitive analyses, SoPs - among other documents to make sure we communicate clearly without taking up a lot of synchronous time. If this isnt your style, you may not enjoy yourself here. - We are very process-heavy. Everything we do lives in our project management system and internal resource database. - We believe that everything we do should be codified - and spelt out in clearly defined steps, so that there are no surprises or secrets; and so we have the mindspace to think of the truly critical stuff.
