We are currently hiring for a leading fintech company based out of Gurgaon, please find the details below: Role Overview Designation: Head Risk / Chief Risk Officer Location: Gurgaon, Haryana Reports to: Founder &amp; CEO We are looking for a hands-on Head Risk / Chief Risk Officer to provide sound leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company's growth and targets are met. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator and public speaker, we- d like to meet you. Responsibilities 1. Strategic role, to set the company direction for the next 5-7 years 2. Responsible for designing and building the risk and underwriting infrastructure for the most innovative consumer lending platform in India 3. Creation of the risk and underwriting policies, infrastructure, development and deployment of underwriting models, risk decision strategies and fraud detection 4. Be involved in the full-life-cycle and straddle credit-and non-credit functions (initially) 5. Work closely with Sr. Management team and lending partners in managing Risk/Return of the portfolio, defaults &amp; collections 6. Represent the company to the outside world, including lending partners, board of directors &amp; other strategic alliances Professional &amp; Educational Qualifications and Skill Sets Required - Deep knowledge of scorecards, credit policies and risk management in an unsecured context - Experience in validating and implementing risk models and strategies - At least 3-5 years of experience in using analytics for credit modeling - Passion for using data and algorithm to drive underwriting decisions - Extreme comfort with technology and working with engineers - Passionate, creative, innovative and looking to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. - MBA/CA (first attempt) or IIT B.Tech with at least 8+ years of experience in a retail bank or retail NBFC, Indian or foreign Nice-to-have: - Knowledge of Data Science &amp; Machine Learning - Experience working in a startup, preferably a Fintech startup - Ability to influence and drive stake-holders Looking for experienced candidates who are . - As the Head of Risk you will be reporting to the CEO &amp; COO, and will be responsible for heading a Risk team - Responsible for credit underwriting / analysis / appraisal as well as developing the lending norms / rates / policies for all lending products offered. - You would ensure that the customer portfolio meets the quality measures. You would also manage internal stakeholders in addition to regulators and governing bodies.
