Risk Analytics Strategy Validation

Role Summary/Purpose:

- The selected candidate will lead Risk Analytics Strategy Validation in India this role, reporting to the VP-Risk Analytics, is responsible for leading at least one individual when completing the cyclical validations of existing strategies and non- model tools across Customer Facing Functions including Growth, Operations, Collections and Recovery and any additionally related governance-related activities.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

- Lead at least one individual directly and others indirectly as required to complete the strategy and non-model tool validations.

- Perform independent validations of existing strategies and non-model tools per the annual Customer Facing Validation (CFV) plan to gauge efficaciousness of criteria and performance of champion/challenger strategies where applicable, compare expected versus actual results, confirm proper implementation, accuracy/completeness of existing documentation and appropriateness of strategy monitoring.

- Leverage advanced technical expertise to translate documentation of these strategies' criteria into code to complete the validation.

- Liaise with first line stakeholders across the Growth, Operations, Collections and Recovery Strategy Development / Implementation teams to understand and evaluate credit strategies, processes and procedures within scope of validation.

- Document results of validations to produce detailed 'white papers' reports that will ultimately be shared with first, second, and third line stakeholders, regulators and Senior Leadership and be leveraged to drive quality improvement opportunities across reviewable strategies.

- Lead Validation Results meetings, solicit feedback from Strategy teams and publish final reports with all findings to be entered into eGRC reporting system. Maintain timelines and feedback loop with Strategy teams to ensure all applicable findings are mitigated as per the chosen timeline.

- Lead governance-related activities across CFV team including upkeep of CFV procedures, RAQ, PRC, eGRC Master Schedule and strategy validation tracker; create dashboard for quarterly reporting update with regulators; lead quarterly CFV Governance meetings.

- Perform other ad-hoc or deep-dive analyses to better understand the materiality of concern with regards to new strategy proposals or modifications.

- Work with other Risk functions across the second line of defense, including Model Risk, Operational Risk, Risk Testing and Compliance to increase awareness of validation results, create synergies and avoid redundancies.

- As needed, participate in the independent assessment of new Customer Facing Strategies and non-model tool proposals, as well as requests to modify existing strategies as part of SYF Working Groups and provide insights to any material risks identified.

- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree with 6+ Years of working experience in Financial Services with a strong understanding of analytics and 1+ year with direct management or in lieu of a degree, 8+ Years of working experience in Financial Services with a strong understanding of analytics and 3+ year with direct management

- 3+ years' experience with SAS/SQL or other transferable logic-based programming.

- Experience working with Decision Trees and other statistical tools

- Strong written/oral communication skills

- Shift Timing 2 PM to 11 PM IST

Desired Qualifications:

- Good understanding of USA credit business market

- Strong Leadership skills

- Credit card analytics experience

- Exposure to R, Python and Machine learning tools
