Risk Analyst - IIT/NIT

Role: Risk Analyst

Location: India - Mumbai

Position Description:

- Candidate will work for market risk team in the enterprise wide risk framework.

- He/She is expected to have worked for couple of years in risk management area at a respected institution.

- We may also consider fresh candidates who have passion to make a career in the field of risk management.

- The candidate is required to play an important role in executing multiple assignments in fast paced environments.

- The ideal candidate should be a self starter and should have an independent thought process and motivation to gain further domain expertise in risk management.

- She/he will be required to solve problems and execute on projects with adequate direction from senior risk professionals. This is an opportunity to be on a steep learning curve for next few years.

Required experience:

1. 0-2 years of experience in market risk management.

2. Experience with a risk system (Risk Metrics and BarraOne) and database knowledge will be preferred.

3. Hands on experience in Market risk/ Credit risk is required focussing on value at Risk, scenario analysis and
stress testing and Portfolio PnL attribution.

4. Basic knowledge about valuation and modelling of financial products in Fixed Income and Equity.

5. Ability to work with risk systems, databases and reporting tool

6. Good communication skills to discuss results of risk analysis.

Education Requirements:

1. Graduation from a top tier technology (IITs, NITs) institutes in India

2. Programming skills in Excel/VBA or C++ is a plus.
