Risk Analyst

Position: Risk Analyst

IFMR Capital is looking for an analyst in a risk role to work in its office in Chennai, India. The role is quantitative and analytical in nature and will involve use of MS Excel/VBA.

- The job involves the following for our loan and securitization portfolio: research, calculation and analysis of key risk and performance indicators, calculating exposure indicators, preparing risk reports for senior management, and determining the credit quality and risk of our partner institutions including MFIs and other partner institutions such as MSMEs and micro-housing finance companies.

- This role also involves working with other teams including business, treasury, structuring, accounts and operations.

Job Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with:

- strong desire to learn,

- Working knowledge of finance,

- strong technical background (MS Excel/VBA)

- Basic knowledge of statistics & probability

Qualifications Preferred:

- Graduates (BE/BTech) OR Post Graduates (MSc/Mtech/MBA) (with an interest in finance)

- Certifications: FRM, CFA or equivalent (Not a necessary condition but preferred)

Skills Required:

- Knowledge of VBA/Excel programming

- Knowledge of UG level Statistics and Probability

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills- both written and verbal

- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, self motivated individual having an ability to work individually and as part of a team

- Ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting demands

Experience

- 2 years in risk management or equivalent at a financial institution
