We are looking for- GL Revenue Accountant ( Team Leader) for a client with a global presence based at Chennai.

Shift Timings : US Shifts ( shift window - 6 pm TO 6 AM) , Transport Yes, 5 days working

Other conditions : Open to domestic and international travel

Must Have Exp : Revenue Cost Accounting, Month End Closure Exp, Direct Costing

Core Skills and Experience

1. Must have deep domain knowledge of revenue recognition standards

2. Pass various revenue and direct cost accounting journals on time after validation with billing systems reports.

3. Domain expertise in telecom revenue streams (postpaid, data, roaming, interconnect)

4. Knowledge of deferred revenue accounting treatment

5. Perform timely critical revenue reconciliations to ensure that revenues booked in books of account are complete and accurate without any material misstatements

6. Experience of telecom revenue accounting is mandatory

KRA's - 

1. Deliver as per month end close calendar

2. Participate in reviews with client finance organsation on monthly basis on revenue and direct costs

3. Work closely with transactional processing teams - accounts receivable and bank reconciliation teams

4. Liaise with client organisation to ensure receipt of inputs and reports on time

5. Standardise and streamline processes across geographies assigned

6. Participate, as applicable, in SSC transformation initiatives
