Retail Trade Manager - FMCG

One of our leading clients in the Gulf, is looking for a retail trade manager, to be based at Abu Dhabi. The company is into distribution of liquor beverages, and is a market leader, in its segment.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and deliver financial performance for the Abu Dhabi Retail Sales channel. The retail business in Abu Dhabi is comprised of eight stores which are run as a separate profit centre.
The role holder will be responsible for implementing an effective retail strategy for the channel, in order to ensure maximised profits and effective operations in an intensely competitive environment. This covers service standards, in store visibility manpower and information management, working capital and site development.

The key role deliverables are:

Commercial management: Manage and drive the P&L, existing operations, growth and profitability of the retail business Drive and implement retail strategy to improve A+E retail competitive position and to cater to future market and customer expectations across the region

Sales & Marketing implementation: Develop and implement retail brand strategy consistent across the region. Implement in-store execution plan for corporate and brand marketing. Determine and implement retail shop stock lists and planograms. Manage and implement category plans for retail business in line with strategic brand agenda.

Operations: Manage and coordinate forecasting. Track and analyse competitor and market share.

Relationship Management: Develop and manage close working relationships with the relevant local authorities including CID, Abu Dhabi Municipality, Civil Defence, Landlords.

The ideal candidate would have between 7+ years of experience with exposure to retail development, merchandising and retail operations.

He would hold a business/marketing degree, and have exposure in the area of marketing, sales, finance, project management training, retail management and IT systems.

Compensation offered for this position would be from AED 19,000 - 21,000.
