Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Develop and execute OTB (Open-to-Buy) plan to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Analyze sales data to determine sales trends and forecast future sales.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing and allocation strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and analyze weekly sell-through reports to identify best and worst performing products and implement necessary actions.
- Collaborate with the retail team to ensure optimal product placement and presentation.
- Make recommendations for product markdowns and/or promotions based on sell-through performance.
- Prepare monthly sales reports and analyze key metrics for each category, making recommendations to improve sales.
- Analyze sales data by product category, geographical location, and customer demographics to identify sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies to drive sales growth.
- Develop seasonal merchandising strategies that align with company goals and trends.
- Monitor fashion and retail industry trends to stay up-to-date with latest merchandising techniques.
- Collaborate with product development and design teams to forecast demand for future seasons.
- Allocate merchandise to stores based on sales performance and inventory levels to maximize sales and profitability.
- Work with store managers to identify store-level sales opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely stock shuffling to ensure optimal product availability.
Requirements:-
- Bachelor's degree in merchandising, business administration or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail merchandising.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel or Tableau.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
