We need someone from a technical/delivery background who can manage resourcing, deployment, training & development and build the growth plans for engineers.

Experience : 10-14 Years

Work Location : Hyderabad (Work from office)

We are looking for a "Regional Engineering manager" to join the Engineering Management team.

The Engineering Organization is responsible for professional development of personnel, bench management, development of practices and technical training, as well as building communities for practices. The Engineering Organization team takes an active role in allocation of personnel to projects. Works in close collaboration with Delivery Management, Sales, Operations and CTO organizations.

Min requirements to the candidate :

- English, upper-intermediate or advance

- Project management

- Experience managing team of 40+ people

- Experience and hand on experience with Google Sheets, JIRA, Google Slides

- Wide knowledge of technologies (on the level to be able to understand and support discussions in the following areas: FrontEnd, BigData, Data Science, Mobile, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Java, etc.

- Be able to participate in late-hours meetings two-three times a week

- Experience and desire to work based on KPIs or OKRs targets

- Understanding of P&L structure

- Be able to go on the business trips abroad few times a year (from the few days up to a month)

Tasks the candidate will work with :

1. Bench management

- Each engineer on bench is fully loaded with work (contribution to corporate initiatives or education)

- Not placeable people do not sit on bench longer than X days

- Constant engineering capacity to start new projects is ensured

- Engineers on bench have regular 1-1s

2. Professional growth of engineers, Continuous education of engineers

Goal:

- Engineers have required skills, are placeable

- Engineers continuously improve their skills, grow their grades

- Engineers quickly acquire technical skills (e.g. certificates)

- Engineers adopt and share similar professional best practices

Tasks :

- Work with Academic Programs Manager (request materials preparation, provide resources to develop education programs)

- Cooperate with Staffing Team to make sure we do not have not placeable people on bench

- Adopt and implement processes and new education programs that were introduced by Center of Competence

- Build and grow engineering communities in the region

- Execute onboarding of new comers to EM organization processes

- Build and Manage Specialization Leads structure in the region and control execution of company-wide processes. (bench management, contributors for Center of Competence, 1-1s, Performance Reviews)

- Provide regular reporting on Regional engineering structure, own KPIs and SSL structure performance around company-wide processes

Deliverables :

- Employee profile is maintained, key information about employees is present in their profiles (project starters, team leads, speakers, etc).

- Regular reports to EM organization management
