Currently we are looking for Resident Manager for Project Control role with Major Steel and mining company;

Position: Resident Manager

Function: Project Control

Reporting To: Project Manager/Leader

Based at: Ukraine

SUMMARY:

- Responsible for overall delivery of the project including planning, scheduling, safe erection, commissioning and quality within the budgeted project cost and time. The Project Controls Manager assures application of best practices to the project as appropriate and recommends changes where required.

JOB DUTIES:

- Establishment and distribution of baseline information

- Preparation of weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports to the client and the project team.

- Provides support to the Project Manager in administration of the engineering, supply and erection contracts.

- Reports to and receives operational direction from the Project Manager.

- Responsible for the implementation of all necessary procedures and tools for the project controls function

- Responsible for the effective implementation of project controls including progress measurement, change management and planning

- Responsible for the establishment and operation of the project trending and change management systems

- Responsible for safety, quality and progress of construction work by the erection agencies

- Works with his counterpart on the client’s team to ensure full, appropriate communication and co-ordination in the achievement of the project objectives

- Responsible for the establishment, operation and administration of the local project team.

- Responsible for all commercial, contractual issues and statutory compliance

- Responsible for all project related follow-up and communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

- University degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline

- Experience in construction of iron making plant specially Blast Furnace Relining Project

- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills at all levels including clients, corporate and project management, and staff

- Around 15 years of relevant experience including involvement in at least one major project and exposure to all areas of Project Controls and construction.

- Must be self-managed and able to work unsupervised.

Desirable

- Experience with Planning Software in particular Primavera & MS Project.

- Experience in project planning, shutdown planning and brown field sites planning.

- Project management certification

Please note that the incumbent would have to move on single status basis, company will provide accommodation + conveyance+ to and fro air ticket – once a year.
