Research Analyst Global on US and European stock exchanges
Job Description :
- Fundamental research on high quality stocks listed on the US and European stock exchanges
- Extensive secondary research and financial statement analysis to understand the historical evolution of a business.
- Understand the drivers of growth of the overall industry within which a business operates.
- Understand and articulate the key competitive advantages and capital allocation decisions of a business
- Extensive primary research interactions
- Ability to manage junior analysts to expand your own bandwidth to conduct primary and secondary research FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of accounting statements
- Deep understanding of financial statement analysis and valuation frameworks
- Ability to execute open ended research processes by pushing yourself to peel layer after layer of the business model to get to the core of its competitive advantages
- Spoken and written articulation of investment hypothesis in a well-structured and coherent manner
- Drive to build a network of experts who can provide primary data on various parts of the business you are researching on INTERACTIONS
- Interactions with company managements, their competitors, vendors, channel partners, manufacturing plants
- Periodic travel (2-3 times in a year) to US and Europe for conducting primary data checks
- Any graduation degree
- Any accounting or finance degree / certification (such as CFA) would be preferred
- 5-8 years of experience of either working as a financial analyst at a sell side or buy side firm.
