Replicon - QA Manager

Position Overview:

Replicon, a world leader in developing cloud time tracking and project management solutions using SaaS, has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic advocate for quality with diverse hands-on testing experience of cloud-based software. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing testing activities and achieving quality assurance operational objectives.

An ideal candidate would be customer-centric with a strong desire to comprehend all levels of complexity of Replicon products and to bring customer's satisfaction with delivering quality product features.

The successful candidate must be a high-energy lead who is able to mentor effectively, yet to practically demonstrate various hands-on testing approaches when required to achieve results and/or demonstrate role model behavior. You would possess significant interpersonal skills to influence, engage and motivate the Quality Engineering Team in following established quality practices. Integrating continuous improvements in QA process would be one of the targets.

We are looking for a test leader who is passionate about testing and likes figuring out what the problem is and finding a way to fix it. The successful candidate would bring a lot of positive energy to the QA team and be a superior team player who is ready to jump in and provide root cause analysis.

In this role, you would support new initiatives and bring them to practices within the team. You come with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that would allow you to work with various cross-functional teams geographically dispersed. We are looking for a person open to challenges and able to generate new ideas, a person who is willing to admit mistakes and learn from them.

In QA Manager role, you would provide technical leadership, expertise and mentorship in the use of appropriate test tools and methodologies and champion test activities at all levels.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and administrate all Products test activities.

- Oversee day to day delivery of testing operations of Quality Engineering Team.

- Monitor and control test process quality and test results.

- Report, analyze and compile test results, including defects and statistics.

- Conduct historical analyses of test results.

- Execute allocated project tasks as per schedule while ensuring Replicon applications functional stability.

- Compile and distribute release reports; statistics and analysis.

- Escalate outstanding or critical issues.

- Prime meetings with other stakeholders such as Engineering, SaaS Operations, Product Management.

- Identify and highlight problem areas and gaps derived from information gathered.

- Review the technical design and technical specs to evaluate the testing scope and be able to review the test plans.

- Review project deliverables (test cases, scripts, test documentation) for quality and completeness.

- Assure timely completion of testing for projects as well as comprehensive bug tracking and reporting.

- Work independently to discover and define special test cases and be able to execute the tests along with providing accurate analysis of the test results.

- Develop testing campaigns that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, network simulation testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, etc.

- Define requirements and coordinate setup of the technical test environment and test data management.

- Guide, coach and motivate the test team on following testing processes, tools and methodologies.

- Mentor and train new employees and junior team members.

- Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies.

Qualifications:

- Strong Leadership experience - 3+ years of leadership experience (in Engineering, DevOps, QA or Support).

- 10+ years of software development and software quality assurance experience (can be combined) where CD, CI and TDD are strong

- Good understanding and experience with various software related industry standards (SaaS Web and Mobile platforms), Git, AWS Cloud services, Real Time Data Pipelines, Sumo Logic

- Experience working with test management systems, data and collecting metrics.

- BS/MS Degree in Engineering - Computer Science preferred.

- Good understanding of Application server configuration and scalability.

- Working knowledge of .NET and modern front-end frameworks.

- Practical experience working with automation and performance testing tools.

- Strong troubleshooting skills

- Ability to localize issues back to the code or environment.
