Title of the Position : Head Replenishment / Head Distribution &amp; Logistics Function - Supply Chain Location - Bangalore Key Stakeholders: Internal: - Head of sales - Head of Marketing (for the new launches, for de-stock of old products, run down inventories before the launch) - Commercial (for the cost aspects and budgets) - Manufacturing (for interaction with factories) - IT - Purchase - International Business team - Quality (for depot standards and safety) External: - Vendors (transportation companies) - Warehousing companies - Carry and forward agents - Consultants (for SAP implementation, APO, remapping servicing standard for customers) - Modern trade customers (for servicing any issues) - Internal auditors (spends, payment issues to transporters) Educational Qualification: B.com with an MBA (Operation Management) Experience: 18 - 20 years of experience Desired Competencies: - Good understanding of warehouse processes and transportation - Good Communication skills. - Commercial and Negotiation Skills. Self-motivated &amp; performance driven. Very high level of execution skill. Key Responsibilities : Part of company's leadership team - Lead the Planning and Distribution team, to ensure high product availability at optimum logistics and infrastructure costs &nbsp;Strategy &amp; Planning :&nbsp; 1. Developing and implementing transformational Supply Chain strategies to deliver competitive advantage to the business. 2. Plays a strategic role in the process of opening or closing depots, their automation, selecting modes of transportation, determining the footprints, analyzing sales growth patterns. 3. Develop strategies and processes to reduce total delivered cost while building a reliable transportation network. 4. Ensure the supply chain function is stream-lined and meets the targets on metrics like distribution radius, volumetric utilization (utilization of trucks), direct dispatches, SKU availability and FSD plan compliance. (E.g. 1). 5. Work closely with the purchase team to design the material requirement plan for manufacturing SKUs, in order to meet the demand plan and the production plan. Other Responsibilities :&nbsp; 1. Plan production of budgeted volumes based on SKU mix and margins at Company's manufacturing facilities as well as the material at the manufacturing units. Also develop long term capacity plans to cater to high growth anticipated. 2. Ensures compliance at depots to quality assurance systems, handling, loading and unloading procedures. 3. Ensures environmental/safety practices and policies are followed in the depots. 4. Dispatch planning: Responsible for the automated dispatch plans for giving visibility of stack levels at various depots. 5. Interact with the international business groups and oversee orders for exports, their timely delivery, sourcing and invoicing activities. 6. Customer service: Build capabilities to meet expectations of different customers across different channels. 7. Responsible for monitoring the supply chain for the dairy business. 8. Lead the integrated end-to-end supply chain from factories to distributors. - Leveraging Technology 1. Leverages latest technologies like reverse auctions to reduce the logistics cost. 2. Leads implementation of various modules of SAP/APO and drives opportunities for improvement in the business to achieve desired standards.
