Position : Manager - Sales

Manager - Sales will be responsible for leading and managing our plain gold Jewelry sales function in the Indian market.

- The position will be based in Mumbai. A team of Sales executives will report directly to the Candidate and the Candidate will report to Management team.

- Strongly self-driven and passionate for success will be a key driver for this position.

Specific Job Profile :

1. Understand the local market and customers. Decide sales strategy for short term and long term in consultation with senior management. Finalize monthly as well as annual sales forecast and budget.

2. Active relationship management with existing customers.

3. Monitor and drive sales team performance and manage day to day operations and targets related to Sales. Understand their needs to perform more effectively.

4. Market Analysis - provide consumption based data analysis for different product categories.

5. Finalizing product development strategy for short term (next 2 months) as well as long term in line with customer needs and trends.

6. Understand the product and review samples being made for suitability and suggest changes.

7. Liaison with factory for order flow and understand bottle necks.

8. Understand product costing and decide pricing strategy accordingly.

9. Close watch on customer outstanding and ROI jointly with Finance team.

Critical Competencies :

- Deep understanding of Indian jewellery market environment and customer behaviour.

- Strong existing relationships with customers across key markets in India for Company's plain gold jewellery product.

- Strategic Mindset: Sees the big picture, constantly imagines future scenarios and creates strategies to sustain competitive advantage

- Customer Focus: Builds strong customer relationships and develops customer-focused solutions

Qualifications :

Education : Graduate or double graduate having prior industry experience

Preferably : MBA/ Masters-in-marketing/ Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant

Experience Required :

- 3-5 years of work experience in Indian domestic jewellery industry (gold, diamond or platinum) .

- Preferably having worked at a middle to senior level position in a large jewellery manufacturing/ trading organization in the B2B sales/ marketing function.

- This position involves meeting with customers and business owners pan India. Hence the candidate must be mature, responsive and able to travel extensively.
