- Responsible for all Group and Retail Health products Pricing, Regulatory Filing & Approvals. These include new products as well as revision of the existing products.
- To get involved in product ideation/design stage, carry out feasibility (risk & return) study on proposed new Product features with the Business Department and Management.
- Develop Actuarial Pricing Models to forecast expected future cost of the benefits covered in the product using claims frequency & severity approach. Build appropriate margins in the model to manage the risk inherent in the product and for future contingencies.
- Associated Claims analytics and mathematical/statistical studies to help estimate the Risk Premium Rates of the benefits covered, historic & future expected Medical Inflation/Trends, Option benefits Pricing
- Estimate the future expected expenses (Fixed & Overhead expenses) to be built in the risk premiums to arrive at Final Gross Premiums to be charged from customers.
- Draft Technical Note of the Pricing & other pricing/Actuarial inputs in the filing documents of the product.
- Review Product documents like Policy Terms & Conditions, Prospectus cum Sales Literature, etc. in a manner to balance the troika - the Business, the Regulatory Authority and the customer.
- To address Product related queries of the Sales, Compliance and Marketing Department product features/pricing. Also, provide Marketing collaterals (sales brochures, advertisement videos, messages etc.) approvals as and when required.
