Head of Business Planning- Reliance E commerce Role Description - A) Business Planning - - Providing insights on a regular basis to drive business & functional performance growth basis data - Creation of AOP & regular monitoring of plan and achievements - Conducting regular business and functional reviews - Conducting root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and deep-dive analysis for assigned business problems affecting overall performance - Testing new business hypotheses B) Merchandise Planning: - Looking at mid to long term planning and buying directions/strategies and establishing controls in the entire buying process - Creating monthly OTB basis the sales target as per the AOP considering Inventory in the system - Creating and achieving buy plan by meeting inventory norms, budgeted sales, profits and full-price sell throughs while maintaining adherence to the price grid - Conducting regular category performance reviews to track progress of PL sales as well as inwards - Creating in-season buys to mitigate the risk for loss of sales due to unavailability of stocks - Responsible for key planning metrics like- stock cover, gross margin, discounting, ageing, sell-through, etc. - Maintaining freshness on the platform C) Analytics: - Managing all analytics requirements and developments - The person also looks externally at the industry trends, global best practices and learnings D) Data Science: - Productionize 4-6 data science projects within the year E) Others: - Leading & developing team - ensuring high employee morale and low attrition Skills and attributes needed for this role: - 10-15 years of experience in the field of Business Planning / Business Analytics / Business Consulting - Proven track record of delivering tangible results within their respective functions - Strong Analytical bent of mind, leadership & problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders - Strong bias for Action & have the ability to - get things done - Being able to deal with and thrive in an evolving environment, being able to deal with ambiguity - Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere - High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation - Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills. - Understanding of analytics and ability to derive meaningful insights
