Reliance Brands - Manager - Import

As an import manager for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand in India, your role would involve managing the import of various goods and products that are essential for the store operations.

- Vendor Management: Identify and establish relationships with international vendors and suppliers who can provide the necessary products, ingredients, equipment, and packaging materials.

- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with import regulations, customs duties, taxes, and other legal requirements in India. Ensure that all imports comply with relevant laws and regulations.

- Logistics and Shipping: Coordinate the logistics of importing goods, including selecting appropriate shipping methods, managing freight forwarders or shipping agents, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

- Inventory Management: Work with Inventory lead and ensure there is an optimal inventory levels maintained by accurately forecasting demand, monitoring consumption patterns, and placing orders in a timely manner.

- Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to ensure that imported products meet the brand's standards and specifications. Conduct inspections upon receipt of goods to verify their quality and adherence to safety standards. (audit time to time).

- Cost Management: Monitor import-related costs, including transportation, customs duties, taxes, and other fees. Identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.

- Documentation: Ensure all necessary import documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations, are accurately prepared and submitted in compliance with customs regulations.

- Ethical and Sustainable Sourcing: Consider incorporating ethical and sustainable sourcing practices into your import strategy, aligning with growing consumer demands for socially responsible products.

- Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans to address unexpected events that could disrupt the supply chain, such as natural disasters or geopolitical tensions.

- Incumbent should have handled import for packaged food segment.
