Job & Candidate Profile :

Position Title : Manager - Category Management

As the category manager, the role will be responsible for all actions taken on articles of a category(footwear). Responsible for overall performance of the category - Sales, Inventory, designs, claims, etc.

Prior experience managing a category(footwear). Experience in product portfolio management, new product development, customer segmentation. Experience in fashion/footwear industry must.

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

- Develop specifications, sales targets and execute launch plans for assigned categories in order to maximize sales and market reach

- Ensure accurate and competitive pricing, content and operation across the category

- Ensure achievement of defined sales targets for the Footwear Category

Customer Oriented :

- Unders tand market trends of article performance, designs and styles in the market.

- Conduct portfolio gap analysis and ensure that the Relaxo portfolio is always complete and competitive

- Ensure introduction of strong regional product portfolio

- Ensure availability of stocks in retail outlets on shelves for display to ensure sales.

People Oriented :

- Develo p strong working relationships with Contract Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing and merchandising teams is essential.

Internal Business Process :

- Conduct and program manage the entire article launch procedure - conceptualization, ideation, implementation and tracking

- Coordinate with the Supply chain team to ensure inventory norms are implemented and adjusted based on seasonality and product performance

- Highlight and followup with Contract Manufacturing team to ensure stock availability on shelves

- Followup with the planning team to ensure availability of inhouse manufactured products
