Position: Relationship Manager - Deal Origination

Department: Debt Advisory

Reports to: Vice President

The Role

- This particular role is focussed on debt advisory and debt syndication wherein the candidate will be expected to independently originate deals through effective relationship management and business development efforts as well as nurture and manage client relationships. The candidate is expected to have good understanding of debt advisory and debt syndication including the various products, services, processes and others areas.

Qualifications

- Minimum qualifications: A candidate possessing one or more of the following qualifications: MBA/ CA/ Masters in relevant field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ability to work independently on origination of various debt and corporate finance engagements with support/ guidance from the management.

- Ability to independently interact with clients, effectively manage Client Relationships and proactively lead Business Development efforts.

- Lead the formulation and implementation of long and short-term strategic plans and objectives to increase market share/penetration and maximize opportunities for growth throughout the marketplace.

- Prepare, maintain and update a clear client relations plan including the client names, strength of relationship, potential opportunities, activities, etc.

- Good understanding of debt concepts including terms, covenants, structures, options, documentation, negotiations, market trends, etc

- Excellent judge of potential qualified clients/deals and expert at structuring deals to balance risk and reward.

- Maintain frequent interaction with centres of influence, diverse industry segments, community leaders, regulators, and senior business contacts.

- Strictly adhere to internal policies and ensure that the organization's activities are carried out in accordance with all regulatory, legal, and governmental regulations.

Experience:

- Total Experience of 4-5 years, of which, minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with banks or advisory firms or NBFCs

- Need to be extremely good in business development and client relationship management

- Should have good understanding and experience in debt advisory and debt syndication

Personal Attributes:

- Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrate innovative approaches

- Effective Client Relationship Management skills

- Must be a self-starter, someone who demonstrates by getting out into the marketplace

- Very Good Communication skills (reading and writing) and Presentation skills

- Must be results oriented and move fast to meet customer needs

- Ability to structure and offer sophisticated financial solutions and services

- Should have good understanding of credit and risk processes

- Team Player
