Department Description : Financial Information Reporting Solution (FIRS) supports the External & Internal reporting across the firm and is leveraged by all lines of business and other corporate areas.

Key support area includes :

- End to End Reporting: Sourcing, production, Aggregation, and Analysis for Internal and External Reporting.

- End User application support for Internal and External Reporting tools/ systems

- Define and deliver target end state operating model and technology requirements for the financial data consumption strategy

Support for data consumption, user support and system availability :

- The external reporting team is an integral part of the FIRS group supporting the external financial reporting requirement across different lines of business for the firm.

- The group prepares & validates various financial reports working closely with the line of business and technology for consolidation and submission to regulators.

- This data may also be leveraged for critical management reviews, client decision making support apart from control and business reviews.

Role description :

External reporting lead will be responsible for FIRS - External reporting teams in Bangalore location supporting CIB lob and other lines of business.

Job description FIRS External reporting :

- Ownership of key financial statements / regulatory reporting being performed from India and ensuring that the regulatory filings are in line with the JPMC standards and policy. Key areas of responsibility would include but not limited to financial reporting, GL integrity, managerial review, stake holder engagement etc

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to correlate general ledger, risk management systems, data and reporting impacts across different interfacing applications and data flows

- Continuous improvement and strengthening controls: Should be able to visualize, implement and generate improvements in the current process, deliver efficiencies, strengthen the process framework and controls all the while making sure that the quality of reporting is immaculate

- Adherence : Ensure Compliance and regulatory requirements are full adhered to.

- Maintain effective and standard operational processes, critical process documentation & drive iterative review control mechanisms partnering with global team and other stake holders

Resource & performance management : Coach, monitor and develop high potential resources within the group.

People management : lead multiple high performance teams with their periodic G&O, feedback and appraisals, mentoring etc
