Job Title : Regional Head - Agri (South)

Grade : Deputy Vice President/Vice President 1

Department : Agri Business Group

Location : Based at Chennai or Bangalore

Reporting To : Head - Agri Business Group

Position Purpose :

- To provide leadership in implementing and achieving the strategy for overall growth of Agri Business pertaining to South Indian States.

- To expand Agri Business and ensure field level execution Agri-business.

- To ensure Zone target of crop loans, KCC, Minor irrigation loans, land development, horticulture, fisheries, poultry, animal husbandry (dairy) and agri warehousing, Agri value Chain etc.

- To explore farmer funding opportunities through tie up with various agri corporates/producers companies/value chain partners in agri-business.

- Grow commodities and warehouse receipt business in the Zone.

- Responsible for sales distribution and processes, compliance, recruitment, training at Zonal level.

- Manage the Agri Portfolio and delinquencies.

- Effectively coordinate between different functional teams.

- Identify potential markets for business development and formulate a business strategy for the Zone.

- Build effective Agribusiness team on the field.

Position Responsibilities :

- Portfolio Management

- Fee & Other income targets

- Audit Compliance

- Process Compliance, Manpower attrition and Staff Training and Productivity

- Customer service, marketing development and coordination

Qualifications :

- Essential Graduate, Post Graduate

Experience :

Essential : Minimum 10-15 years of experience of hands on experience in development and management agriculture finance in a bank/financial institution

- Retail Agriculture finance ( Crop finance, diary, horticulture, aquaculture, term loan finance etc)

- Corporate Agriculture finance

- Warehouse and commodity finance

- Value chain and dealers finance

At least 5 years experience in developing and managing direct farmer finance.

- Good understanding of Agribusiness products

- Should have done portfolio and NPA management

- Must have handled retail business and distribution team

- Should have an idea of Agriculture opportunities

- A good team player, peoples manager and effective communicator

- Ready to travel extensively
