We are hiring for Regional Sales Manager role with a US incorporated start up, social intelligence company based at Bangalore

About the role

As a Regional Sales Manager, your focus would be on generating new business within an assigned territory by blanketing the region with outbound activity. It would involve selling to brands, agencies, TV media, digital media, sports franchisees and internet companies. You would also work with the Customer Success team to make customized plans for key accounts, and execute on them to create incremental revenue, mitigate churn and hit the base to renewal ratio on each account annually.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across India by spending a significant amount of time and effort on outbound lead generation activity.

- You would own the threads independently to propose, negotiate and close orders.

- Meet and exceed sales targets on a month on month basis

- Understand the lifetime value of a customer and the business proposition needed to drive customers towards on-time and above base renewals.

- Develop trusted advisor relationships with end customers and partners. Customer roles will range from technical decision makers to executive business leaders.

- Provide sales forecasting and visibility into sales efforts by keeping a healthy active pipeline and reporting that to the business on a weekly basis

Requirements

What Really Matters

- Exceptional track record of selling to small as well as large enterprise customers and achieving sales revenue consistently in tough and challenging markets

- An ability to unlearn and learn tons of things, really fast

- An ability to work independently without a local office, take initiatives, execute plans with little oversight

- The kind of values you have as a person

What Matters A Little

- Your contacts in the TV and News Media, Advertising & Digital Agencies, Marketing, Product and insights teams at various Brands.

- Numbers of years of experience. 3-6 years is an acceptable range. Less is ok. More than that is probably a negative thing, it means that you just haven- t been moving fast enough

- The school that you come from

- The organizations where you have worked earlier

Professional Expectations

You would be a heavy hitter who is not daunted by big goals. You would have probably made sales worth $100K+ in the last year, and at least $250K overall business closed. While you would have no regard for lousy performers, you must have high regard for your team members that deserve respect by virtue of their accomplishments. You are somebody who would rise to the occasion when the stakes are really high.

Personality Expectations

We believe that it takes a certain type of personality to do a certain kind of role well. For this role, we expect you to be a go-getter with an ability to hit goals at any cost. You probably enjoy endurance sports or other activities that need you to push yourself to your physical and mental limits. You probably have been competitive for as long as you can remember. You expect very highly of yourself and being less than ideal anywhere almost pains you.
