Position Overview

Experience in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana is must (GT MT)

Reporting directly to the Sales Head, the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for the Achievement of the budgeted sales in the assigned region he/ she manages.

Ensure the making up of strategic plans, based upon sound market intelligence, for the assigned region, aimed at growing sales in a profitable and value growth, all in line with the Group Strategy and with respect for Group values and policy.

Key Accountabilities - 

Key Requirement : Manage Both MT and GT business and experience in managing both the trades is a must

1. Formulate, propose and help implement long and short-range plans, policies and programs for the area in line with the group policy and strategic vision.

2. Make and achieve sales budgets, ensure compliance with the monthly budgeted targets ensure on-time receivables, ensure proper handling of complaints and distributor claims.

3. Daily sales management (from prospection to concluding) & support of the independent distributors and direct customers, in the assigned areas of operation

4. Support the formation and execution of a marketing plan in the entire region for promotion events, Customer Innovation Days, promotional offers, Pricing Strategy, etc.

5. Regularly travel in the region in order to develop the sales and implement the agreed Strategy.

6. To ensure expenses are in line with budgets as agreed.

7. Liaise with all required departments within India HQ and with staff for relevant matters (various local technical assistance or sourcing of specific products e.g.), and ensure a proper information flow and follow-up.

8. Ensure Market & competitive intelligence of the region assigned

9. Map and monitor competitors in the region

10. Customer Data Base: ensure region-wide implementation, follow-up exercise; analyses on segments & formulate recommendations on a strategy to the National Sales Manager.

11. Support of the Sales Director on specific ad-hoc questions, projects, analyses, preparation of strategic meetings

12. Search, analyze and propose merger and acquisition growth opportunities in accordance with corporate objectives and plans, and support their investigations, evaluations, negotiations, and integration.

13. Accountable for attracting, training, and developing top sales management/professionals and to ensure optimum level of workforce engagement.

14. Sales Effectiveness framework to be created and drive teamwork culture and alignment to goals.

15. Oversees the establishment of metrics to assess, develop, and promote people.

16. Coaches and develops the sales team and defines career growth paths. Accountable for ensuring successors for key positions. Identities skills gaps and creates targeted developmental plans.

Profile - 

1. Masters Degree preferred in Sales & Marketing

2. 7-10 years sales leadership experience, developing a go-to Sales Development strategy, leveraging customer insight, and innovation

3. Should be fluent in English as well as local language. Good communicator.

4. Commercial experience in respective regions
