We are looking for Candidates for a Regional Sales Manager position to work with a client in Chennai. Looking for candidates with experience in selling FMCG Products in Tamil Nadu & Kerala States.

Job Purpose: To provide effective leadership, to drive the Sales function in the organization through appropriate sales strategies and plans to ensure achievement of the business results & objectives for the region.
Responsibilities:
- To formulate the sales strategies and plan for achieving the existing and new categories target for the assigned region, drive the business plan with appropriate sales activities and ensure the periodic targets are achieved through efficient and effective execution.
- To handle overall sales and distribution of products currently available and strategize/initiate activities for new products launches by leading the sales teams. Responsible for external stakeholders like distributors/stockiest, retailers, agencies, wholesalers etc. for effective handholding and customer satisfaction of those channels.
- To head the entire sales force of the region & designing distribution and coverage plan for the products in both the existing and new lines so as to ensure achievement of the regions bottom & top line targets. The overall Sales strategy for the region is developed by this position taking various market and competition inputs.
- To be responsible for providing periodical report to the management for the region with analysis of performance of the product, team, and stockholders and suggest the initiatives and support required for achieving the said targets.
- To handle Internal communication with various stakeholders also ensures free flow of information. Interactions with the marketing function for sales promotion and marketing support, launching new products; to logistics to ensure product availability; to finance for settlements of claims, to HR for manpower availability and training are also carried out.
- To work along with finance in collection and contribution of the products mix, settlement for overdue, claims and on time dispatch and delivery of the products in/from depts.
- Support the marketing department in identifying new line, business, products, carryout competitive research or collecting/analyzing market data or track competition and provide necessary information.
- He needs to ensure in building a strong sales team and keeping them trained and motivated to achieve the sales objectives. These include effective sales training, sales system implementation, mentoring and coaching.
- To manage various internal and external customers related issues so as to ensure that the business lines are positively impacted.
